This repository contains the raw data supporting the manuscript Seasonal variation in bait attractiveness among six Mediterranean pest ant populations: implications for toxic bait development , currently under peer review. The study evaluates seasonal variation in bait attractiveness among six Mediterranean pest ant species by comparing worker recruitment to three artificial bait formulations differing in macronutrient composition. Experiments were conducted under field conditions during autumn 2024 and spring 2025. Each row of the dataset represents one bait offered during one experimental replicate. The response variable corresponds to the number of worker ants feeding on that bait 90 minutes after bait placement.

In this study, Radioluminescence (RL), Raman and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy analyses were used to investigate the relationship between structural disorder and self-trapped exciton (STE) luminescence in natural quartz grains measured over a temperature range of 8-300 K. The investigated samples originate from diverse geological settings with crystallisation ages spanning from Ma to Ga and include two granites, one metamorphosed granite and two sedimentary samples. The RL spectra exhibit a dominant blue emission band centred at ~2.6 eV, attributed to STE emission, which disappears at higher temperatures (> 200 K). Analysis of RL intensity as a function of temperature (50-150 K) using an Arrhenius model yields quenching energies in the range of 22-46 meV. The variation of full width at half maximum (FWHM) with temperature was modelled to estimate phonon energies, which ranged from ~10 to 47 meV. Raman spectroscopy reveals systematic shifts and broadening of the 127 cm -1 and 203 cm -1 bands, indicating variations in lattice strain and structural disorder. FTIR measurements further demonstrate progressive changes in the structural organisation of the Si-O-Si framework through variations in structural order index derived from the 778 cm -1 and 692 cm -1 vibrational bands. Well-ordered natural quartz samples exhibited higher quenching and phonon energies, narrow RL, Raman and FTIR bands and higher FTIR structural order indexes, indicating more stable STEs than the structurally disordered natural quartz samples. Compared to synthetic quartz reported in the literature, natural quartz samples exhibit broader RL emission bands, lower quenching energies and earlier thermal quenching, reflecting a higher degree of structural disorder and defect concentration. The combined RL, Raman, and FTIR results demonstrate that STE emission in natural quartz is strongly controlled by lattice disorder and geological history, confirming the critical role of exciton-phonon interactions in determining STE luminescence behaviour.

This dataset contains data from three stalagmites: HOR (Ejulve cave) and MO-1 and MO-7 from Molinos cave. New speleothem records from northeastern Iberian caves provide data to explore the climatic patterns during the Holocene. We present δ 13 C and Mg/Ca from three speleothems from two different caves located in the Iberian Range allowing replication of the climatic signal for several millennia. Through the integration of those stalagmites covering since the Holocene onset to 2 ka, the early Holocene (11.7-8.5 ka) appears as the wettest interval. A marked change towards aridity is observed during the middle Holocene (8.5-4.8 ka) and an increase of humidity afterwards (4.8-2 ka). This three-part pattern, contrasting with other Iberian sequences, seems to be associated with the different role that seasonality has played in the response of different proxies (or records) to changes in water availability. Interpreting our speleothem records as changes in winter-spring precipitation along the Holocene allows reconciling previous data on hydrological variability from the western Mediterranean borderlands.

Dazu zählen grippeähnliche Erkrankungen (ILI), Coronavirus-Erkrankungen (COVID-19), akute respiratorische Erkrankungen (ARE), gastrointestinale Infektionen (GI) und schwere akute respiratorische Infektionen (SARI).

The interaction between acoustic waves and turbulent grazing flow over an acoustic liner is investigated using Lattice-Boltzmann Very-Large-Eddy simulations. A single-degree-of-freedom liner with 11 streamwise-aligned cavities is studied in a grazing flow impedance tube. The conditions replicate reference experiments from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. The influence of grazing flow (with a centerline Mach number of 0.32), acoustic wave amplitude, frequency, and propagation direction relative to the mean flow is analysed. Impedance is computed using both direct (i.e. the in-situ method) and model-fitting inference (i.e. the mode-matching method) methods. The former reveals strong spatial variations; however, averaged values throughout the sample show minimal differences between upstream and downstream propagating waves, in contrast to what is obtained with the latter method. Flow analyses reveal that the orifices displace the flow away from the face sheet, with this effect amplified by acoustic waves and dependent on the wave propagation direction. Consequently, the boundary layer displacement thickness ($\delta^*$) increases along the streamwise direction compared to a smooth wall and exhibits localised humps downstream of each orifice. The growth of $\delta^*$ alters the flow dynamics within the orifices by weakening the shear layer at downstream positions. This influences the acoustic-induced mass flow rate through the orifices at equal Sound Pressure Level, suggesting that acoustic energy is dissipated differently along the liner. The asymmetry of the flow field experienced by the acoustic wave, depending on its propagation direction, highlights the need to consider a spatially evolving turbulent flow when studying the acoustic-flow interaction and measuring impedance.

This dataset consists of raw sequencing snRNA-seq data (10x Genomics Chromium Next GEM Single Cell 3ʹ). The data is part of an overall set of samples derived from postmortem midbrain (n=140), cingulate cortex (n=190) and motor cortex (n=4) of healthy donors (n=114), patients with Parkinson's disease (n=75) or patients with other neurological disorder (n=1). The protocol followed to isolate nuclei from postmortem brain samples and to prepare sequencing libraries can be found below. To increase throughput and to decrease batch effects, several donors have been pooled together into a single sequencing library. To computationally demultiplex the nuclei to their corresponding donors, cellsnp-lite (version commit: aad18644adcde853c313362a856a24245c9b91f7) followed by vireo (https://github.com/single-cell-genetics/vireo/pull/108) has been used. The population VCF with the donor genotypes derived from whole genome sequencing data has been used to assign nuclei back to their donors.
